You're familiar with that project developing on the South Side of Bethlehem, PA -- SteelStacks -- near the Sands Casino, connected with ArtsQuest, the Banana Factory, Musikfest etc.? I would never believe this if someone told it to me, but I saw it for myself in today's newspaper, SteelStacks was awarded a grant - funds in the amount of $900,000 from the Kresge Foundation of Troy, Michigan. They give grants to many colleges, schools, green projects, etc. and I'm sure they're worthy of much acclaim. But, guess who funds the Kresge Foundation -- none other than George Soros. And he is joined by the Federal Government. Leverage – overburdened consumers, inflated housing prices and deeply indebted corporations – is what got us into this recession, the worst since the Great Depression. But there are times when leverage is good (?). Just this week, billionaire philanthropist George Soros said he would provide a $35 million gift to the state of New York as a way to leverage federal stimulus money to assist low-income children in the state. With the addition of federal funds, the gift will actually be worth $170 million.
Just something to think about. Why does Soros hand out all this money in the first place? What's his objective? How did SteelStacks get involved with the Kresge Foundation? Does Soros need those who are short on funds to be on his side? Is he really helping them or hurting them? I can't answer, maybe somebody else can.
Certain things prompt me to write about them. Either it's my opinion about valuable information I want to share, or else I'm just venting....Whatever the case, I believe we can never learn enough. Read, comment, share, that's why I'm here.

Kids R Fat
I saw this on GB's show tonight. I thought it was pretty accurate.
The government wants to make sure our children lose weight. They propose to:
Plan B
1 -- Ban soda and french fries
2 -- Take away swings from the playgrounds
3 -- Sue somebody
4 -- demonize companies like McDonalds.
Plan A -- an alternate plan
1 -- Turn off the TV/video games.
2 -- Tell the kids to go outside and play.
3 -- Ask your child to finish this sentence,
"An apple a day......"
4 -- Clowns don't make healthy foods
It's up to you to teach yourself and your children the proper things and way to eat. Start now.
The schools might want to incorporate nutrition and serving sizes to children in health classes and also the consequences of eating improper foods -- obesity, heart problems, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes. If your children hear you talk about things like that, it will rub off onto them. They live by example, and you're elected.

What makes you happy?
The sun is shining, I will be going out to walk but before that will do my Qigong elements.
Is there anything in the present world that makes me smile? Well, it's pretty tough after hearing such morbid news on the television and radio about our country. I do think it's all spiraling downward since the current man in power took over. Everyone complained about President Bush, but I think it hasn't gotten better. The man in power promised changes, but our country didn't really need any big changes it was always the best country in the world. Now I don't think the world leaders admire us more than before, in fact they seem to be on the opposite side of the fence. We need
to do something about Iran. Socialized health care isn't my idea of making things better. Bowing to muslim leaders isn't my idea of a good change. Spending more
money than we can even dream of affording isn't a good thing. So where has all this taken us? It's pretty hard to smile after hearing all the news.
I believe in God, have a wonderful family, a loving husband and daughter, a nice group of friends, my SP friends who support me no matter what. That makes it
all worthwhile. I can still put on a smiley face and say thank you and be happy!
